Welcome to the second blog of the class entitled "Astronomy in the Era of Big Data," a freshman seminar being taught this semester (Spring 2015) at Carnegie Mellon University. Each of the 15 students in the class will be writing three blog entries over the course of the semester on topics inspired by what they have learned in class. Enjoy!
